What the research says about these wavelengths

460nm blue. Blue light in the 400–470nm range is studied for its effect on C. acnes, the bacteria linked to acne.

665nm red. Red around 630–670nm is the most studied band in photobiomodulation, where research looks at fibroblasts and collagen.

850nm near-infrared. It reaches deeper than red light, and research points to cytochrome c oxidase as the likely cellular target.

1064nm near-infrared. The deepest of the four, with penetration measured against shorter infrared wavelengths in published studies.

Mode 1 runs 665nm red with 850nm and 1064nm near-infrared. Mode 2 runs 460nm blue with 850nm near-infrared. Brightness sets to 50%, 70% or 90%, and the timer to 5, 10 or 15 minutes.
